Saddle Blanket / Ristretto
DESCRIPTIONEqually at home under the saddle, or hung up in your living room. Hypoallergenic, non-itch, soft, durable, lightweight fleece. 100% raised, shorn and woven by hand in Texas.
This blanket is intended and sized for sitting directly between the saddle and horse to keep your buddy comfortable on all rides or the next show without any allergic reactions, itches or sores. Unlike coarse wool fibers that contain lanolin and barbs which compress over time into an itchy felt that some horses (and riders) are allergic to and find uncomfortable, shorn Alpaca fibers have a hollow core, contain no lanolin or barbs, and keep their shape and super soft form with loft over time. Does not hold water and retains its thermal properties even when wet. Luxurious Alpaca fibers offer a fineness similar to Angora, Cashmere or Merino wool.
For increased padding and suspension, use two saddle blankets (please contact us for a discount when ordering more than one). Simply cut the tassels off if undesired.
